metaphysical bulimia

I find that it's very normal to have internal struggles, significant ones even, from time to time. However within myself I sense a great struggle, I seek to address and improve upon this state of being.

I am not entirely sure what the appropriate course of action would be but I am going to be doing some experimenting.

Today I am reading an article I have found, with a  few different suggestions.

I must first become aware and connected with my own energetic fields which can be done using this first activity:

The Light in Your Hands: A Solo Exercise This solo exercise is a simple yet potent way to feel the subtle energy within and around your own body. It is also a method for bringing the healing, balancing, and energizing qualities of color into your body.

Step 1: The energy in your hands. Rub the palms of your hands together for ten seconds, like you’re vigorously scrubbing them. Then hold your hands in a vertical position about one inch apart, palms facing each other, but not touching, and feel the energy you have created between your two hands.

Step 2: Flowing red energy. With this energy now flowing, imagine that you are bringing red energy through the back of your heart, into your chest, down your arms, and through your hands. Do you feel a marked difference between your hands?

Step 3: Flowing blue energy. Imagine blue energy streaming in through the back of your heart, streaming into your chest and arms, and through your hands. What sensations do you experience in your hands with this blue energy? Do you experience anything markedly different in your hands with blue versus red? Do you experience sensation anywhere else in your body? (Know that you can practice with any other color, in addition to red and blue.)

Step 4: Making an energy ball. Now return to a neutral zone, dissipating your colored energies. Pat your hands together as if you are gathering energy and make an energy ball (like a snowball of light). Mindfully create this energy ball, seeing how far you can spread your hands before you can no longer sense the energy.

Step 5: Noting your solo experience. What did you experience with each step of this exercise? You may find it helpful to jot down your thoughts in a journal. You can also experiment with doing this exercise at various times of the day and in different physical locations if you want to take the exploration to another level.

Then when comfortable move on to a grounding exercise:

The three steps of Spirit-to-Spirit:
1. Affirm that you are a full, powerful, and loving spiritual being. Breathe into your heart while making this affirmation, and feel the resulting shifts in your energetic fields.

 2. Affirm that the other person is also a fully developed and loving spiritual being. Sense the presence of his or her personal spirit and engage with this aspect of the other. Feel how the unhealthy connections release and only love remains. (This step can also be done between you and an entire group of people, such as your family or business community, or even between you and an animal.)

 3. Call upon the presence of the Great or Holy Spirit, which immediately shifts the situation into whatever it is supposed to be, providing any necessary insight, protection, healing, or act of grace.

Can you still use this process outside of the professional setting, such as when you’re by yourself? Absolutely. When I’m alone, I do the following for step 2: I affirm the presence of a spiritual guide, angel, or master who is there to love and assist me. Personally, I use Christ. Several of my clients call upon the Virgin Mother Mary; others affirm a quality of the Divine, and still others connect with the Buddha, the goddess Kwan Yin, or a guardian angel. If in doubt, ask for the Divine to attend you in step 2 as well as in step 3.

The Luminous Golden Threads: A Meditation with the Ancient Incans

Within the exquisite cosmology of the Incans, each of us has a luminous energy field called a popo, which surrounds our physical body. Composed of light, it transfers information in and out of the body. The popo has four layers: the causal, the soul, the mind, and the physical body. The nine chakras of the Incan system are known as pukios, meaning “light wells.” Because our personal and inherited memories and traumas are stored in the popo, it serves as a template for how we live our lives.
The following brief meditation will help ensure a beautiful flow between you, the natural world, and the divine world by unblocking and balancing your popo. You can use this meditation on your own or guide your clients through it.

1. Begin with Spirit-to-Spirit, affirming that you (or your client) are a full, powerful, and loving spiritual being. Breathe into your heart while making this affirmation, and feel the resulting shifts in your energetic fields. Call on a spiritual guide, angel, or master to be present to love and assist you as you continue.

2. Notice your luminous energy field, your popo. Allow your awareness to flow with it down into the earth about one foot and up over your head about one foot.

3. Breathe deeply into the core of your heart. From here, notice luminousthreads emanating from your heart pukio, as well as the other eight pukios.

4. See divine energy emanating from the core of your heart through the luminous threads. Allow this healing light to unfurl, unblocking and clearing any of the pukios that are obstructed or undeveloped.

5. With all of your energy centers clear and humming, allow yourself to feel your connection with all of nature through the five sources of energy that sustain human life:
•    Plants and animals
•    Water
•    Air
•    Sunlight
•    Biomagnetic energy
Open your popo only to nourish and be nourished by these natural forces.

6. Now move your awareness to the eighth chakra or pukio—calledwiracocha in the Incan language—a luminous globe just above the physical body. This is where your soul connects to the Creator. Feel the subtle energy radiating from this center, and open to receiving a message from your soul. That message may come as an image, a symbol, a word or phrase, or a sensation.

7. Notice the refreshment and balance you now feel, as your soul, through your eighth pukio, accepts the message, even while it basks in the forces of nature shimmering inside and around you.

8. Breathe into the ninth pukio—causay—your sacred connection to the Creator. This energy center lies outside the luminous energy field and extends through the cosmos. Having never entered the river of time, it can renew your sacred connection with the Divine. With your awareness on this eternal field, ask for an insight that you need at this time. Breathe deeply, in and out, allowing yourself to receive the insight as a gift from the source of all love.

9. With deep gratitude, affirm the loving assistance of the guide who appeared at the beginning of this meditation. Accept in return its appreciation of your unique personality and contribution to this world.

Coming back around full circle

It has been quite sometime since I last wrote and while the words in this particular post may be clunky and less than elegant, what I am writing is coming from the depths of my soul in a wave of self realization and a new sense of purpose.

It has been quite some time since I have done a number of any of the things I tell people is beneficial for their mind and body. I notice that I am nothing short of forgiving with everyone but myself, I haven't meditated in I don't know how long, yoga, exercise, eating mindfully, playing outside even....
All of these things I play with back and fourth but I never maintain a proper balance and I never stay dedicated to one thing for very long. I guess I have always been that way. Easily distracted but not so easily amused. My mind does not stay in one place, naturally. Sometimes this is a quality I find interesting about myself because it leads me to discovering many different things. I have a taste for seeking out new experiences and I find that in  a sense, to be a great quality. However, at the same time I notice its is a disruptive counterproductive quality in my personality and while it may lead to wonderful experiences it also takes away from my potential at the same time. This is something about myself that I have been aware of and struggling with for quite a while. My personality lacks any form of discipline. I am always swimming against the stream by nature. I don't like boundaries and I don't like being put in boxes. Structure makes me uncomfortable. But what I have come to realize is the two apposing forces battling in my head right now don't have to be apposing forces at all. If I find a balance between self-discipline and my child-like versatility my life would bloom with great force in what ever direction my heart desires it to. To rid myself of this crippling self doubt I have to be disciplined and at the same time to truly be happy I must always follow the direction of my intuition. So where am I going with this?... a routine! Simple as that. Start small work my way up I suppose.
It will be kind of a morning routine for the most part. I need more than anything to cleanse my energy and to find my center again...because I am not grounded at all.

With that being said, the first and most important part of this daily routine will be meditation.
I am putting this in the center of my routine, based on the idea that cleaning my energetic body daily and replacing old/ tired/ dark/ negative energies from days past with new/ pure/ positive forces of cosmic energy...I will not only take on my day centered and with confidence but I will also be harnessing the law of attraction and in turn will attract the things I so desire on a daily basis.

Good start right?

From there I had to think about how taking care of my own physical vessel is entirely relevant and extremely important if I want a better connection with the etheric energy (that is me). With the concept that we are a soul that has a body, rather than the other way around. I imagine my body to be something like a space suit.
My soul is an astronaut using my body to be able to travel through this form of existence,  this form of reality , at this given point in time... just like we would use a space suit to travel safely in the vacuum of space. If our space suit malfunctions, you can imagine the kind of complications you'd run into. With that being said I basically want to get a tighter grip on my own physical health. Start going to the gym regularly, paying attention to exactly what I am putting into my body and also what I may be lacking in my diet and accommodate that with vitamins. A few things to add to self improvement routine...... Exercise/Yoga & Dieting/ Supplementing.

There's more....

There is and always will be a natural rhythm in this universe. Some connect with it through reflecting upon nature. Some people like the arts and creating...some people enjoy flow sports such as dance, hula hooping, writing, even music. You may connect with every single one of these outlets. That's fantastic! The point I'm getting to is we should never forget the ways we best reflect the rhythm we interpret from the universe. we are a small part of the whole yes. But we are so very important to the nature of reality. We create it. What we think we are. What we are we project on reality. What kind of energy are you projecting? What kind of energy do you want to give off? I know that I want to leave a positive impression on the universe. To do so we must act with Passion & Love. Do more things you love, live your life with passion. Your soul won't lead you astray.

Just one more thing before I go...

Coming back around full circle to the concept of the law of attraction..
"The law of attraction is the name given to the belief that "like attracts like" and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results. This belief is based upon the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from pure energy, and the belief that like energy attracts like energy."
You don't really have to do anything special to make this work. My grandfather once shared with me the simplest way to apply this idea is just to be grateful...start spending more time appreciating parts of your life instead of dwelling on things that you dislike about it. Living your life in a perpetual state of Gratitude. And in turn attracting more things to be grateful for. What an empowering thought. I really don't practice this enough but being mindful of your thoughts is the first step to true transformation. The end result is always beautiful.

So here is the little bit of structure I'm adding to my life. It might not seem like much. But I feel better already simply making a plan and making it known. Even if it is just to myself.

Motion allows progress which in turn allows change...

Change is just a simple word we use to describe our never ending dance with evolution, with the universe, with the people and things around us.

Change is painful. Change is beautiful. I feel like in my head I am constantly at battle. Sometimes I wonder why I struggle. Sometimes I wonder why I don't struggle more.

I know that I am the keeper of infinity. I know I create my universe. I gamble with circumstance. Still I find myself growing more lazy each day, I feel like a feather floating in the wind. I no longer have direction. I no longer feel desire. I am just floating. Every now and again I look down at the world below me and wish I could come down... every now and again I look down with disgust. I have become lost. Lost within myself.

I look in the mirror and can only find confusion and hopelessness.
I feel like a dying star.

Maybe this should be scary. Maybe this is something divine.

For in fact, we are all just stardust. Within us all are pieces from all over the vast regions of the universe. And with letting go of ego, I open a  gateway into the endless procession of space and time.
I will be a vessel of limitless light and possibility. For this flesh is not WHAT  I am. This name I have been given is not WHO I am. I am a piece of the whole. I am infinity. I am the universe! With this understanding I am closer to enlightenment.

A strange division has come over me. Where did I come from? Where am I going?Does it matter? Will it ever matter?

Despite my best guess, I still want to be the bird, not the feather. I want to soar high, with life and direction. So I allow this division to pass on the wind of change. I will seek out the divinity in myself and others. I will breath like a new born. Stretching out and gasping as if it is the first breath I have ever taken.

Change

Since the last time I wrote my life has been in a perpetual cycle of raw change and transformation. And even while it seems like a long time, to me, it seems like an unbelievable difference for such a short amount of time. I don't know any other way to explain it without rambling on and on about a million different things.

Not to imply that all these subtle changes are anything more than just a continuance of my own personal evolution and that of the rest of the world's. However, I think these changes are abrupt enough to address.

As many of you may already know a ton has happened just in our own county since the beginning of this year.
For example, Obama signed the NDAA Bill,  we watched SOPA have it's run, and even now a even greater threat with less publicity ACTA has already been signed all over the world and still rearing it's ugly head elsewhere...getting closer and closer to home.

On a non political note, more and more people are changing, the world as a whole is changing, the natural world is changing.... I am finding it harder and harder to ignore or discredit.

Like the strange noises heard worldwide in the second week of January:

Or an Earthquake type thing in FLORIDA around the same time:

News link...

Not to mention the numerous accounts of strange weather, the ongoing list of ET sightings and encounters...

So to me, its scary and comforting to know that I am not alone in this immense change. It's happening everywhere to everyone.

Instead of dwelling on it I have been trying just to live life and enjoy it with as little limitations and distractions possible (easier said than done lol).
I hope all of you have been changing and doing well also.

My only advice for today would be... It's time to let go of all the trivial bullshit. Try to stop dwelling on old hurts and disappointments, stop stressing about your future, stop being a slave to the mainstream grind of shallow concerns and money, and even in your very worsts of moments try to find the good in life and every situation. Because your experiences in life, whether they be good or bad, are what make you into the person you are and will be in the future. We are involved in this beautiful rhythmic dance with our own lives and of  all the things around us. Stop fighting it, just relax, let go. Just be.
Follow those deep feelings and desires. Don't be ashamed to do and be what ever it is that you are meant to.
Don't wake up one day and realize how much time you wasted being unhappy.
Be true to the all knowing being that lives inside everyone of us.

Namaste' my friends, I love you all.

MIND CONTROL!

I'm coming to a part in my life where the sidewalk ends.
The part where I realize nothing my parents prepared me for is either real or relevant.
It's not their fault I suppose. They too have been conditioned from birth with preset moral codes and rules. Things that make an entire world of people into literal sheep. And this didn't happen over night. This has been happening for centuries. Which is why our reality is now the way it is. Confining, limited, wasted, and miserable.

It's time to stop letting people in power tell us who we are, what we should grow up to be, how we should act, how we should dress, how we should feel.
It's time to stop letting them feed us poison in our food, our "medicine", our water, our air.
It's time to start over from scratch. Clear our minds. Take back our power.
Restore balance. It's time for all of us to really decide what we want in this life. Not what we think is the "right" thing to do. It's time to stop letting borders and religions divide us. We are all one and the same living thing. We just think that we are separate. It's all been perfectly placed in our head to believe so.

Believe in that part of you that is completely limitless my friends because I can promise you it's there.

We are all made up of something magnificent. We are consciousness, simply placed into this vessel of a body to experience this life in. We are capable of what ever we can imagine. And I mean that GENUINELY.

I know it sounds like madness, but that is how they have conditioned you to respond to this. If you take just a few minutes to really think about it, it completely opens your eyes. Because your whole life you have really known it all along. Wake up! Wake up. wake up...
You have only been sleeping.

On the bright side it seems more and more people are becoming aware of this.
And the more people that come together and break free of their mind chains, the more power we get back. It's not about protests and violence towards the ones that did this. It's about taking back what is rightfully ours! All you have to do, is start becoming more aware of what you really are and it all starts to unfold before your eyes.
So don't take my word for it. See for yourself.

A small change in direction.

So I have kind of been spending the last month in self reflection. I wanted to take the time to collect all of my thoughts and make sense of myself again.
I thought what I've learned was good enough to share.

First, as much as I truly believe in putting positive energy out there, I have learned that making your growth process all about spirituality and a moral challenge will hinder your development rather than help.
We need to step back for a second and set aside right and wrong, good and evil, and all your predetermined moral values. If everything in the universe is all connected, then in reality "good" and "bad" intertwine. You have to free yourself from any mold that you are trying to fit yourself into. This mold is only holding you back.
Once the slate is wiped clean we can begin to relearn and gain the wisdom we seek.

Second, reaching a higher state of consciousness shouldn't be about separating our true animal instincts from some higher sense of self. That seems to be the very mentality that is holding us back. It should be about letting yourself truly flow without limits.
We had access to cosmic energy and higher states when we were first conceived and we still have access to it today. You don't have to go out and fast , or become a monk, or even be a "good" person to be able to access this energy and knowledge. It is our birthright as a life form in this universe.
Everything is in constant flowing motion with the universe, we were made to have the desires and instincts we have.
I heard an awesome example of natural psychic phenomena from a video the other day.
"Proof of a mental/ psychic connection in all things  is most evident in the wild. Birds for example, when flying can effortlessly create all sorts of formations together with out any plan or practice. They just know."
I am not implying that we should go back to crawling on all fours and sleeping in trees. Instead I am implying that we need to just let ourselves be what we are without moral limitations. Go in the direction you are genuinely drawn to.
Let yourself grow freely.

A different you, a different time.

If you are alive today, you just may get to be here when something incredible happens to us. As a species, as a planet, and as a universe.

What I'm referring to is a shift.
Every 26,000 years marks the end and beginning of a solar cycle.
Cultures all over the world were aware of this, the most common of them being the Mayans.
This is known as a "great year".

A great year is divided into four parts or "seasons".
Gold, silver, bronze, and iron.
Currently we are in the iron age, and sadly none of us will be here when we finally move into the golden age.
But! The beautiful thing about being alive today, is that we get to be a part of the human race's transition or evolution, if you will, into what we are truly capable of being.

It is thought, that in 2012 a massive change is going to occur here on our planet.
Some believe this could be bad for us as a species.
While on the other hand, many others believe this marks the start of a much needed and very beneficial change for the better on our planet.
Personally I don't believe 2012 entails any massive overnight change but I do believe it is the beginning of a shift in our consciousness.
A shift worth being embraced.
While the nature of this change remains vague and illuding, I believe this could be the start of something incredible.

( I recommend taking a look at this)

Currently, our world is in desperate need of change.
Our planet has suffered greatly from serving as our host.
There is constant unrest in the world.
People fighting people, countries fighting countries.
Greed has become a way of life.

We can not continue to thrive in this manner if we wish to grow.
So where do we go from here?
Many great things have started from something small.
Although one person doesn't seem likely to make much of a difference, I can assure you that they can.
Just as a pebble dropped into water creates a rippling effect, you too can create a wake of enlightenment and positive energy to be shared with the world around you.

However, before you can make a great positive effect on the world.
You must have a positive effect on yourself.
To truly understand and love others you must first love yourself.
Let go of all your regrets.
Let go of all the flaws you think you have.
Let go of your grudges and your hate.
Free yourself of all your negative thoughts and energy.
Let in the light that is thriving all around you.
Forgive yourself and forgive others.
I promise you if you can do all of this you will notice a significant change in the way you feel about your life and the people in it.

(You might like to try this)

Once you have achieved your own personal equilibrium, you can then truly begin to have a positive effect on others. The ripple starts with you! No gesture is too small. I challenge you  to go about your day going that extra mile for others. Smile at the people you see, approach someone who looks lonely, make friends with a stranger, do something you would not normally do for someone else. Just as Buddha once said, "Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared."

To be continued...
